Potato Gnocchi in Pumpkin Sauce

|
1. Place chopped pumpkin, onion, bay leaf and peppercorns in a pot with a pinch of salt, cover with water and boil till soft.
2. Drain half of the water, mash with a masher then add cream and chinese five spice powder and mix well. The pumpkin mixture should be thick in texture but not like mashed pumpkin, season to taste.
3. Cook gnocchi as per instructions, drain and toss in pumpkin sauce. Serve immediately.
