Beef Taco

Serves: 4
Ready in less than 20 minutes
1. Preheat oven to 180ºC. 2. Heat olive oil in a pan, add diced onion, garlic and diced chilli, sauté till transparent. 3. Add beef and cook until brown. 4. Add drained tomatoes. Thicken with tomato paste and season to taste. Let simmer for 3 minutes. 5. Heat taco shells in oven until crisp. 6. To serve spoon in beef mix followed by shredded lettuce, sliced tomato and grated cheese. 7. Top with a dollop of sour cream and a little salsa with a sprinkle of shallots over the top. Tacos are a great meal to get the kids involved in. We serve all the ingredients out in separate bowls and everyone can make there own. You can put just about anything on a taco, avocado and pineapple are a hit at our house. For a change try soft taco shells.
